Hout – Large Deep Serving Plate (31 cm)
Hand-formed using traditional Sejnane Pottery methods in northern Tunisia, Hout is the largest plate within the Artisan Ceramic Tableware collection.
It shares the same rising-wall structure as Zerka, but at a larger scale suited to shared meals and table-center presentation.
This form allows dishes to spread naturally while still containing oil, sauce, and mixed textures.
Hout follows the same structural principle as Zerka.
The plate features:
-
A flat central serving plane
-
Walls that rise upward from the base
-
A rim that flares outward at the top
This geometry creates gentle containment while maintaining an open presentation.
Although the plate measures 31 cm at the rim, the usable food surface is slightly smaller because the rising wall and flared rim occupy part of the diameter.
This structure allows dishes to remain contained without feeling enclosed like a bowl.
