- What We Refuse | The Line We Don’t Cross
We refuse dilution, fakery, and systems that steal meaning. Resistance here isn’t a slogan; it’s structure. This is where we draw the line. What We Refuse We don't bend for what's popular. We don’t just choose what we support. We choose what we walk away from. Because silence allows systems to keep winning. And dignity means knowing where to stop. We refuse To treat artisans like inventory. To work with factories that erase the name behind the object. To sell speed at the expense of memory. To use storytelling as packaging. To frame Tunisia as a mystery to be decoded. To imitate what’s already been done, just to be seen. To pretend sustainability is enough if dignity isn’t there. To dilute craft so it fits the market. To build a brand that forgets who it’s supposed to serve. We also refuse Deadlines that kill the rhythm of real work. Growth that sacrifices roots. Visibility that erases substance. Metrics that don’t measure truth. This is our stance We don’t perform resistance. We practice it. Because we know the cost of staying silent. This is how we protect what matters. Guardian Voice We share reflections on the limits we set — and why boundaries protect both people and objects.

- Chmissa | Sejnane Pottery Artisan & UNESCO Craft | My Chakchouka
In Sejnane, Chmissa shapes clay the way it’s always been done; with earth, fire, and her hands. Her pottery holds food, carries memory, and keeps a culture alive. Meet Chmissa Sejnane Pottery - UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity She doesn’t use a wheel. She doesn’t need one. In Sejnane, pottery is shaped by hand, the way it’s always been; with earth, fire, and time. Chmissa learned from her mother, who learned from hers. The knowledge travels through the hands, not through school. Her pieces carry the lines of Berber tattoos, the rhythm of woven cloth, and the shape of the land. The forms are simple. The method is honest. The care is hers. Here, pottery holds food, stores water, and keeps culture alive. Chmissa works so that doesn’t change. - Declaration of Dignity | My Chakchouka
Our foundation. A statement of values that centers dignity; for artisans, objects, and the systems that connect them. This is the baseline we build on. Dignity: Our Baseline It guides us. Not markets us. We believe dignity is not a luxury. It is the starting point. The standard. The non-negotiable. The world rushes to produce, consume, and forget. We choose to remember. We remember the hands that shape, The soil that gives, The knowledge passed in silence from mother to daughter, from elder to apprentice. We do not reduce culture to décor. We do not price tradition like a trend. We do not treat artisans like suppliers. Every object we carry holds weight, Not because it is handmade, But because it is made with history, with intention, with meaning. We do not romanticize. We do not explain Tunisia to the world as if it were a mystery. We speak from it. With it. For it. We stand with the makers. With the small workshops. With the rhythm of craft that resists the tempo of mass production. We believe in fair trade because it’s just trade. In sustainability because nothing else makes sense. In cultural commerce as a bridge, not a performance. We refuse to dilute. We refuse to shout. We refuse to imitate what already exists. We are not building a brand. We are holding space. For memory. For skill. For truth. This is not charity. This is not nostalgia. This is continuity. This is commerce with a spine. With roots. With soul. And this is our promise: That every product we share, and every word we write, Will respect the people, the places, and the traditions that made it possible. This is dignity. This is the standard. This is My Chakchouka. Stories of the Standard Dignity is not optional — it is the baseline for everything we build.
