Sejnane Pottery
Hand-shaped earth
from the hills of northern Tunisia.

Origin
In the hills of northern Tunisia, the women of Sejnane shape clay with methods passed down for generations. The earth is gathered by hand, mixed, sun-dried, and fired in open flames.
Each piece keeps the traces of this process – small marks, variations in tone, the quiet geometry of work done slowly. This craft is part of Tunisia’s living heritage, recognised by UNESCO, and still practiced in the same intimate, communal way today.
