Earth-Toned Sejnane Standing Figure

 

This freestanding human figure is shaped through an elongated, restrained form. Its modelled face and gently defined shoulders emerge from a narrow cylindrical body, while earthy cream, ochre, brown, and dark tonal variations move irregularly across the surface.

 

Made without a potter’s wheel, the sculpture reflects Hadda Saidani’s individual practice within the wider pottery tradition of Sejnane. Slight asymmetries, modelling marks, and variations across the surface remain visible as part of the work’s handmade character.
