Palm fiber is abundant in southern Tunisia, especially around oasis regions. It is flexible when fresh, rigid when dry, and built for repeated use.

Basketry follows the rhythm of oasis life — harvesting, carrying, storing. Forms come from what needs to move and what needs to last.

Making: Hand Weaving

Each piece is built through tension and repetition. No molds, no machines — just controlled hand movement shaping structure.
