Meet Chmissa ☀️

Sejnane Pottery - UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

On the hills of Sejnane, Chmissa keeps a tradition alive. No wheel. No mold. Just her hands, the earth, and an open fire.

She shapes each piece slowly, the way it’s been done for 3000 years— passed from mother to daughter, woman to woman.

Her pottery takes cues from Berber tattoos, woven cloth, and the land around her. The forms are honest. The style is her own.

Sejnane pottery is part of daily life. Chmissa makes sure it stays that way.
